Pricing FAQs

How much does livestock tracking cost with Flockarewe?+

There are two parts: a monthly software plan (Smallholding, Farm or Station tiers) and a one-off cost for the trackers themselves. LoRa ear tags start from £13.90 per tag on the Trial pack and fall to £9.90 per tag at 500 head. Geofencing, welfare and escape alerts are included in every plan.

Do I need a subscription, or can I just buy the tags?+

Both are needed to use the platform: a monthly plan runs the live map, alerts and records, and you buy the LoRa ear tags (or 4G GPS collars) as a one-off. There's no long-term contract — you can start on a Trial pack of 10 tags.

What's the difference between LoRa ear tags and GPS collars?+

LoRa ear tags are low-cost, long-battery-life and need a LoRa gateway on the farm — ideal for flocks and herds on land you control. 4G GPS collars report in real time over the mobile network (a data SIM is included) and suit animals ranging beyond gateway coverage. You can mix both in one workspace.

Do the trackers need a mobile signal or SIM?+

LoRa ear tags don't use the mobile network — they talk to a LoRa gateway, so they keep working in mobile dead-zones. 4G GPS collars include a data SIM and use the mobile network for real-time positions.

Are there setup fees or minimum contracts?+

No setup fees and no minimum term. Buy a tag pack, pick a monthly plan, and cancel any time. For collars, gateways or bulk quantities, get in touch for a tailored quote.
