From ear tag to alert, in real time.
Flockarewe turns LoRa ear tags and collars into a complete livestock system — ingesting positions over your own gateways, geofencing your paddocks, and telling you the moment an animal strays or goes quiet. Here's the whole thing.
1 · Tag your stock
Fit a LoRa ear tag or collar — or a 4G collar — to each animal or mob.
2 · It reports in
The tag's position reaches Flockarewe over your LoRa gateways and a secure webhook.
3 · Rules run
Every position is checked against your paddock geofences and movement rules in real time.
4 · Shep checks it
Shep, the built-in AI farm dog, reads each event 24/7 and tells real trouble from normal grazing.
5 · You're alerted
If it matters, it lands on your live map and Shep pushes an alert to your phone and emails you.
How the tags find themselves
A LoRa ear tag is a tiny, low-power radio beacon — no SIM, no mobile signal, and months-to-years of battery. GNSS collars carry their own GPS and report an exact fix; lighter ear tags are located by which of your gateways hear them, giving a paddock-level position. A few solar gateways blanket a whole farm, reaching animals kilometres away through hills and trees. For stock that travels off-farm, a 4G GPS collar reports over the mobile network. All of it feeds the same dashboard.
Long range, low power
A handful of gateways cover a farm; tags report from the back paddock for months-to-years on a coin cell.
No mobile signal needed
LoRa is your own network — it works in valleys and dead-zones where 4G collars go dark. No SIM per animal.
Ear tags, collars & GPS
GNSS collars, network-located ear tags and 4G trackers all report to one map — mix and match per animal.
Everything in the platform
Farms & team access
Every farm is an isolated workspace with its own animals, paddocks, alerts and webhook. Invite your team; nobody sees another farm's data.
Add & bulk-import animals
Register an animal in seconds, or paste a CSV (device_id, name, paddock, radius) to onboard a whole mob at once.
Draw paddocks
Click a point on the map and set a radius to fence any paddock or block — the zone an animal should stay inside.
At-risk mode
Flag an animal as missing/at-risk and Flockarewe tightens its thresholds — smaller movement trigger, faster updates — to help you find it.
Live herd map & history
See every animal's latest position, last-seen time and movement trail on one map, auto-refreshing as new reports arrive.
Welfare & escape alerts
Out-of-paddock, movement and gone-quiet alerts fire automatically — with a built-in cooldown so you're never spammed.
Email & push notifications
Set an alert address per farm and the right person is notified by email and app push the moment an animal strays or the mob scatters.
Shep — 24/7 AI farm dog
An AI watching the stock while you're busy or asleep — telling normal grazing from real trouble, escalating by push and email, and answering questions in your dashboard.
One webhook, any tag
LoRa ear tags, GNSS collars and 4G trackers all report to the same per-farm webhook via ChirpStack — no rewrite when you change hardware.
Private & isolated
Sign-in protected, with every record scoped to your farm. Your animals' location data is never shared between workspaces.
The alerts Shep watches for
Computed automatically on every incoming position, with a cooldown per alert type so repeated reports never flood your inbox.
Out of paddock
A position lands outside an animal's paddock.
Most reliable — fires even if the tag was quiet for hours and the next report is far away. Weighted higher at night.
Movement / scatter
An animal moves further than the threshold, or several move together.
Several moving at once often means a predator, a dog, or an open gate.
Gone quiet / reappeared
An animal stops reporting — or hasn't moved while the mob has.
Stillness can mean cast, calving or sick; Shep flags it on his periodic sweeps.
Connect your LoRa network
Each farm gets a unique, secure webhook URL. Point your ChirpStack HTTP integration at it and uplinks flow straight in — an animal auto-registers the first time it reports. 4G collars and other trackers can POST to the same JSON webhook too.

Common questions
Do I need mobile signal?
No. LoRa ear tags and collars report to your own gateways, which cover paddocks and fells with no mobile signal and no SIM per animal. Only 4G collars use the mobile network.
How accurate is the location?
GNSS and 4G collars give a precise GPS fix. LoRa ear tags are located by which of your gateways hear them — a paddock-level position, ideal for 'is this animal where it should be?'.
How often does an animal report?
Configurable per device — reporting more often uses more battery. Ear tags last months to years on a coin cell; collars report more frequently.
Can I separate farms or mobs?
Yes. Each workspace is fully isolated, with its own animals, paddocks and webhook URL.
Who can see my data?
Only people with your farm login. Every animal, location and alert is behind sign-in.
